Fly Fishing Instruction

POPULAR Adventures

All of our guides are also first rate fly casting and salmon fishing instructors specializing in both single and double hand techniques. They enjoy teaching the art of fly fishing as much as they enjoy fishing themselves. We also offer group casting, charters and fly fishing clinics, perfect for large groups and corporate retreats.

In the past, a common misconception was that fly fishing is difficult or a pastime for those with deep pockets. What many are realizing is that neither of these two things are true. Fly fishing is a great pastime for people of all ages and backgrounds as well as a great way for families to spend quality time together.
The fastest growing demographic of our pastime is women. And these aren’t just ladies who fish just to spend time with a significant other, these are women who enjoy spending time in the fresh air and on the water just as much as the guys. Women seem to pick up on the subtle dynamics of fly casting much more readily than their gung-ho counterparts and are often off and fishing in little to no time. Fishing is a social pastime and a day riverside with friends can be both relaxing and rewarding.

We understand that, as stewards of our fisheries and environment, it is our duty to pass on our skills to the next generation. Teaching children to the art of fly fishing is very important to us and we have special casting clinics to that effect. Children are fast learners and the skills they pick up at such an impressionable young age, will last them a lifetime. Kids who fish tend to avoid trouble and many end up with careers in Science and Environmental Services.  This is a simple fact!

An urban oasis, Pitt Lake is the largest tidal lake on earth and is only a short distance from masses of the lower mainland. The boat launch is an hour’s drive from Vancouver and only minutes from the city of Maple Ridge. Boat access vacation homes dot the shoreline and water

    Lillooet River
Situated in the heart of British Columbia`s Costal Mountains lies a hidden gem of a trout and salmon river. Unpressured fishing conditions, miles of spey water and fish that likely haven’t seen a fly or lure of any type make the Lillooet River is a fly fishing Nirvana. Above average sized resident and sea-run Cutthroat as well as Bull trout are here in numbers. Winter Steelhead and Chinook salmon pass through each season on their way to distant spawning areas. All these fish are in prime shape
